Lost Cause Publishing Group proudly serving the literary community since 2005
Journal
March 2008
After an extended hiatus the decision has been made to close Lost Cause Publishing Group once and for all.
LCPG hereby renounces all rights to any material published and all rights revert to the owner. All slush pile material, that is, material that has been submitted to us but not yet published, is released and we claim no rights to publish that material now or in the future. All published material is renounced as well and we claim no right to publish or distribute these books and stories once the below mentioned download is removed.
The Lulu.com store has been closed so no more print products will be available. The free download of The Complete LOST CAUSE Quarterly will remain available on dA for a limited time to allow the people who didnt have the chance to get a copy time to do so. Once the book is removed it will be gone for good, however.
Thank you to everyone who contributed and supported over the year and a half that we were publishing and heartfelt apologies for all the promises and failures to deliver that occurred over the last six months or so of LCPG. But lets focus on the good points of the project, shall we. Thank you again for everything. -Joshua Goudreau

Mission Statement
Lost Cause Publishing Group is a publication initiative dedicated to promoting and serving the literary community. Our goal is to provide a publication alternative to authors frustrated with the catch-22 of the system. The system that says in order to get published you need an agent and in order to get an agent you need to have been published. This is a gross oversimplification but that is what it seems like to starting authors. We provide an alternative to authors who have begun to think that getting published is a lost cause. All that matters is the quality of the work. Everything else is peripheral.
Store
The Lost Cause store is closed.
Staff
Joshua Goudreau, Lead Editor (~EaterOfTheDead) I have been a writer since a very young age and it has always been a primary aspect of my life. I have written two novels, several short stories and dozens of film scripts most of which can be read right here on dA. I am currently writing my third novel and working in the nursing field while I am getting a degree in English and Dramatic Arts with an emphasis of creative writing and films at the University of Maine Augusta. I am working towards a masters degree in Creative Writing.
Yeah, I don't run this like the clubs here on dA. I run this like a publishing company but hosting on dA makes things much easier.
In order to get published through LCPG just send me an email or a note with a link to the story you want me to look at. Right now I am only considering horror stories for an upcoming anthology.
If you have something just send it along and I'll take a look at it.

I was running a quarterly fiction anthology but it was shut down. See The Complete LOST CAUSE Quarterly.
Now I have decided to follow it up with themed anthologies and the first is a horror one. SO yeah, right now all I'm taking are horror submissions but really, that it a pretty broad subject matter.

Jsut curious, how does one go about getting featured in your publication??? It seems as if one have to submit materials to you, though your journal is rather hazy on the subject. If you could oh so kindly clarify I would be a happy lil kid. Great job by the way, I likes what ya'll are doin.

Using Lulu.com has actually been working out rather well. It allows print products to be available and affordable. It does not allow much money to be made to pay authors but it is something.
